Dilatation and curettage

Dilation and curettage (D&C) is a procedure to remove tissue from inside your uterus. Health care providers perform dilation and curettage to diagnose and treat certain uterine conditions — such as heavy bleeding — or to clear the uterine lining after a miscarriage or abortion.

The odds of pregnancy after a miscarriage appear to be similarly positive if you've had a D&C. Nearly 90 percent of women who had undergone a D&C procedure were pregnant within a year of starting to try again, one study found.
A small amount of bleeding (like a light period) may last for 10 to 14 days. Bleeding may become heavier with increased activity, such as lifting. You may: use sanitary pads.
Specifically, you should focus on sleeping on your left side since this gives you optimal blood flow and also makes digestion easier. You may need a body pillow or other supportive aids to get comfortable and provide proper support for your abdomen and hips.

Suction And Evacuation

Suction and Evacuation is a surgical procedure in which the cervix is dilated or opened, and vacuum or suction is used to remove or in other words 'evacuate' tissue from the uterus. Other names of Suction and Evacuation are Suction Aspiration or Vacuum Aspiration.
